Prof Daniel Feig

Dr. Feig received his MD and PhD (Biochemistry) from the University of Washington, in Seattle. He trained in Pediatrics residency at Children’s of Seattle and Nephrology at Boston Children’s Hospital. He spent 10 years at Texas Children’s Hospital where he founded the Multidisciplinary Program in Pediatric Hypertension. In 2011, Dr. Feig joined the faculty of UAB and Children’s of Alabama as Director of the Division of Nephrology.

Dr. Feig’s research focuses on the physiology of early onset essential hypertension. His studies have focused on the role of uric acid in the development hypertension, cardiovascular risk of sweetener consumption and the diagnosis and management of pheochromocytomas in children.
